i loved this refrigerator at first. first, the water dispenser quit within 3 years. water has leaked down into bottom of the refrigerator section. local appliance center said cheaper to buy a new one. last night freezer has quit no warning even though this unit is supposed to have an alarm. we purchased everything samsung when we renovated. will not buy anything else. trouble with washer, dryer, microwave (already replaced) stove and refrigerator.

the cooling lines in the back of the fridge ice over and don't drain so the base of the fridge is always full of water and leaks out. i've tried melting the ice before and it just ices over again.

Highly disappointing

purchased in november 2016. issues right from the start. same problems as everyone else, defrost issues, ice maker issues. the ice maker shut off arm has broken twice, the repair is to pay for an entire ice maker assembly. ice comes out in blocks. the humidity in the freezer and fridge is out of control. defrost doesn't work, going to replace the defrost sensor next. there are the beginnings of a class action suit against samsung for this product. it's a nice looking refrigerator. it's a shame. also, not sure why the 'replace water filter' indicator keeps going off when there is no water filter. the lack of sufficient documentation on this unit is frustrating. doubt this model is still in production, but do not buy. love my samsung washer and dryer, though.

i bought this fridge 2 years ago, the back of the refrigerator freezes over, underneath the crisper drawers constantly "floods" with water, and every time this happens the refrigerator does not hold the temperatur inside at a safe level.. i have had it repaired 3 times buy a licensed appliance technician for the same issues.. and just yesterday it started happening again. i am done with samsung!!!

My wife bought a Samsung RF26HFENDSER refridgerator and a Samsung microwave. The microwave self destructed and the fridge conveniently died less than 2 months after main warranty was up. Th is cost $750 to repair which I paid because it happened the night before we were to leave country for vacation. It makes banging noises loud enough to wake you and now all of the water that is supposed to fill ice cube tray shoots out the back all over the floor. It isn't coming from the house connection, but from fridge ice pipe(AW2). Samsung makes great TV's, they should have stuck to that.

Nice roomy fridge poor documentation

Pros super quiet, nice and roomy cons 1. Documentation sucks, there is no quick start guide 2. When you press the ICE OFF button, you see a blue glass with ice cubes, most folks would think this mean the ice maker is ON but is actually OFF. A peel of sticker should have been next to ICE OFF button indicating how it works or better yet, a LIGHT on the button would tell you if the ice maker is ON or OFF 3. More door shelves would be nice too. Typically RED means OFF and Green means ON. 4. The specs indicated 33.5 inches with handles off, well even though a max single door is 36 inches, with a door on you may get 34 inches. it would be nice if there was easy instructions to pull out all 3 doors. the lower door on rails looks easy to remove. But the upper door is always a danger to remove and re-align when they are on hinges. 5. note when you get the fridge and try to close the upper doors when the interior is HOT the doors are very hard to close, they only close easy when the fridge is cold inside.

This unit is trouble. The way it's configured is almost impossible to store tall things like a gallon of milk. It freezes up in the back and leaks water into the produce drawers. I've tried several recommended remedies with no resolution. To add to the frustration, I just went down to the kitchen and there was water all over the floor. The freezer is fine at 0 degrees but the refrigerator is a toasty warm of 49 degrees.

Disappointed!

when I saw this refrigerator it was love at first sight. The design, how much space it offered plus it was made by a brand I trusted and therefore I had no doubts when I purchased my fridge. After having the fridge for approximately 2 days in my house I would hear something knocking in the fridge. I contacted the store where it was purchased and they sent a technician. The problem with that is the knock is not constant, it happens periodically. He said if it continued to have issues don't hesitate to contact that the noise is normal. This did not make sense to me. The noise continued to occur randomly but sence it did not affect the coldness of the fridge I turned a blind eye. However, in December whilst cleaning the fridge I noticed the control panel was blinking. When I removed the vegetable bins water was settling in the fridge. Before the actual malfunction of panel I noticed items were staying long to freeze and the freezer bins was like water was thrown in and it became frozen. I contacted the store they sent a technician who could not get it fixed. I contacted the store for their next step to which they stated they are going to contact samsumg. They did and the technician came and set the control panel. In less than a month the control panel has stopped working again. In less than a week of getting the control panel reset for the second time it currently not working as I am writing this review. It is barely chilling. I am beyond frustrated and disappointed.

Received delivery in Jan 2018, read some reviews that they were having door issues (centre bar not closing); we'll it's happening to me too, started a few months ago, then works a bit; not working and I have everything off the door; if you lift the door when you close it, the centre bar will close. I'm getting the expended warranty, going to need it I believe.

Every few months I have to defrost the fridge because of the twin cooling plus system. The motor starts making noise because of ice buildup in back of the fridge. So I have to empty the fridge and put a heater inside to melt the ice or leave it unplugged for a couple of days. This is extremely annoying and bothersome. I would never buy such a system again.

This fridge has given trouble on day one. Three years later I still have it due to the cost to replace. Ice builds up in drain and leaks on the floor. Fridge does not cool properly. I just tried to repair myself yet again and broke the inside panel. When you google ratings for samsung. All say the same thing. Design flaw. Junk. Do not buy.

Broke after a year and half

I bought mine @ sears. Its not even 2 years and its already broken. The guy said the fan is frozen so he have to order a new part and its going to take 3week. We been waiting almost two week for this appointment to tell us that. Good thing we bought the insurance. But we threw away a lot of food. Sad very disappointing.

Two things, both related to the ice maker. The sound it makes as temps change through lines inside makes a loud popping sound that you can hear throughout the house when it's quiet (and when it's not and you're in the kitchen). It can sound very abrupt and loud. It happens every couple hours. We had an AC unit do the same when I was a kid. The other is that the ice maker just stopped making ice. I cannot find a fix and the manual is very vague. I cannot find a "reset" button or a way to stop or start ice production, only an off button inside the doors of the top of the unit. I like the space, the layout, it keeps things cold and frozen very well but the popping sound and the ice maker issue as yet unresolved would make me keep looking for a comparable unit.

Bought my fridge from Bestbuy in 2015. The fridge worked okay for two years until now. There is always a large pool of water collecting under the vegetable drawers. Our mechanic told us, it is a very common problem on all Samsung frenchdoor fridge. Aside that, the doors were never closed very well. Seems to be very loosely attached to the main body. Will not buy another Samsung appliance ever.

terrible product. was exactly what we wanted but it constantly ices up between the freezer and refrigerator making the refrigerator warm. this is still relatively new and it is worthless. sick of throwing food away. keeping the unit less full makes it last a little longer between freeze ups but we'll need to replace it. infuriating. I have not even had this refrigerator for 2 years yet and already in the first year Samsung has had to send someone to fix the freezer on it 4, yes FOUR, times. Well now the warranty is out and you guessed it, it is broke yet AGAIN only now the refrigerator isn't cooling either and getting Error codes. Samsung refused to replace it even after asking many times due to the same issue going wrong so now I am looking for a new refrigerator after already putting out a fortune for what I thought would be a great product! Will never buy another Samsung refrigerator again which is a shame because I love their electronics, i.e. phones, tv's etc.

So far I am enjoying the Fridge I can put a gallon on the doors! it leave more room for other things to be put on the shelves. The freezer is huge and the lower storage area makes it ideal for bigger cuts of meat to be stored. PS Remember it take a few hours for the first set of ice cubes to be made. Also note throw out the first 30 or 60 cubes too.

The refrigerator has been great, had it almost two years. We really like the freezer in the bottom too, and not having room taken with a water dispenser. The thing that hasn't been good is the ice maker. It makes ice without problems but the ice ends up not being well contained.

I purchased this refrigerator in January 2016....it was delivered and installed in March 2016. I began hearing clicking noises, but could not determine the reason for the clicking. I thought it may be related to the icemaker. (As it turns out, once you hear the clicking, that is the sign that the drain is already frozen.) Several weeks ago, I noticed water pooling under the left side crisper. I removed 12-14 cups of water from under both crispers. Fortunately I purchased an extended warranty. Today, the technician came out. The problem is in the Twin Cooling Plus. According to the technician, the drain freezes, preventing water from going into the pan on the bottom. The overflow water then comes into the refrigerator. The technician will be replacing the Twin Cooling Plus system, however, he said that this will probably continue to happen. We currently have the refrigerator unplugged for 3-4 hours...our food is in a cooler....defrosting the Twin Cooling Plus. If the replacement does not work, then it is recommended that we defrost our refrigerator monthly to prevent water build up - really????? That's the solution????

MY WIFE SEEN THIS FRIGE AT HER SISTERS AND FELL IN LOVE WITH IT, WHEN WE RETURNED HOME AFTER A WEEK AT HER SISTERS I ORDERED MY WIFE ONE AND SHE LOVES IT. IT ONLY TOOK AN HOUR AND FIFTEEN MINUTES TO COOL TO 34 DEGREES AND THE FREEZER TO -6.. IT IS VERY SILENT RUNNING IN FACT I CAN NOT HEAR IT. This is overall a very good fridge, its perfect for my personal needs. I don't care to have the ice dispenser on the door so I love this model. It does make a loud popping noise which I have read is a minor defect in design when it dispenses ice but other than that it is really a great fridge. I love how it notifies you the door is still open as I have kids that like to leave the doors open while shopping for their snack needs. Lots of room and very flexible positioning.

Very roomy, with good and easy shelf adjustment. Well lit both in fridge and freezer. Freezer has full access with sliding top bin to allow easy access to bottom bin.

Ok. So we have had our Samsung French Door refrigerator for a year now and it is time to write our review: Short version: WE LOVE IT! There are five generations in our family with my Grandmother being 100 and my youngest Grandchild being 2 in April. I am a firm believer in not selling to family members items like our used cars or referring them to products that I purchase in case anything should go wrong. But with Samsung every item I purchase, my parents and Grandmother now have. Open the right french door and at a glance you can see the interior temperature of both the refrigerator and the freezer; that is important to me for all the egg and dairy products especially with 13 Grandchildren that could visit at any moment. Samsung products get my attention in the most wonderful way, if either of the doors are not shut properly, a warning bell will continue to alert until the doors are all properly shut. (Super feature for the Grand kids and their friends.) The drawer at the bottom allows our 4 and 5 year old Grandchildren to help me out in the kitchen and hand me items or even pick out something for themselves. The quality, functions and features of the Samsung French Door Refrigerator can not be summed up in these little review sections, but, for our family Samsung is a name we trust.

Great Looking Refrigerator

Awesome good looks and loads of space. Only 1 issue but its not that big of a deal. The door compartments are not clear and for shorter people it's hard to see in the top compartment. Other than that it's an awesome refrigerator!
