i'm giving this 1 star as there is no option to give zero stars.
if you want to pull your dishwasher apart unclog it, replace sensors and watch utube videos and how to correct fault codes, every 4 weeks- this is the model for you.
i finally saw a youtube video thta suggested taking this model to a landfill and that corrected my problems.

please waste your time buying this especially without a warranty. mine was purchased in 8/2016 with 5 year warranty from best buy. 4 years into my warranty the dishwasher was serviced 6 times with an average repair of $600 each time. needless to say after the last repair best buy ended my warranty saying i filed too many claims so now the hunt is on for another dishwasher that won't be a samsung.

dishes come out dirtier than when you put them in. glasses come out covered in dried food particles. the jets get easily clogged. and all this after thoroughly rinsing the dishes every time before loading them. i went through the troubleshooting guide and it didn't help. i have to hand wash the dishes after running them in this piece of junk.

dishwasher is 4 years old and it stopped working. it won't drain the water out. for past year it has not cleaned the dishes very well and leaves food on the dishes on lower rack.

Shipped to us broken and missing a drawer wheel. Missing wheel caused the drawer to shift which caused damage to the gasket. TWICE repairmen could not fix and the second "expert" made the situation worse. Used a machine screw to fix the problem...
Decided to change out the hose because of the constant terrible odor. Samsung will tell you to use Tang after each wash to solve smell issues. When we pulled the unit out, we see the entire bottom is cracked. Of course now it is past warranty.
We paid for unit to be delivered and installed. HOW WOULD I KNOW THAT THE BASE OF THE UNIT WAS CRACKED?
Samsung has denied any claim.
NEVER GOING TO BUY SAMSUNG AGAIN.

The first unit they brought did not work, they had to order another "took 2 more weeks".
We hated it from day one!

I bought this dishwasher and had it installed in July 2018. I am noticing that there are rust etchings along the front of it. I thought it was food at first, however a closer look during cleaning determined that it was rust... on stainless? or is this NOT stainless on the front. Very disappointed because the dishwasher is actually great.

I bought this product from a big retailer Android from the get-go there were issues. The initial one that was sent to me was damaged and I had to wait a while to get the new one in. My new one was shipped from Samsung. This Samsung never worked well. I used it maybe 5 to 10 times and it already is broken. When it was working, it never really dry the dishes and left plenty of streaks. Hence the reason I barely used it.

Worked fine for 5 months. Heavy indicator light suddenly turned on in the middle of the day when the machine wasn't even running. Error code indicates a leak so we got a plumber to check and he couldn't find a leak. Since it's under warranty, Samsung sent a technician who said that the leak is due to a misalignment in the gasket and he fixed it. HOWEVER, it broke down AGAIN in 1 WEEK with the same issue. This time round, the technician said it's because of the Cascade pods that we used. They are creating too much suds. Well, that's new to us and we still can't verify if that's the source of the problem because during the second service, the drainage hose was damaged, causing a puddle at the under the sink cabinet. Still waiting for technician to fix it!

I like the dishwasher but I would really love it if it would dry my dishes and not have moisture left on the doors and sides. Calling for warranty to schedule an appointment to come look at it, is a joke.

It took some getting used to having to place dishes in certain places, but once we got past that, it's great. The dishes come out clean every time, and they dry completely. My biggest complaint is that a cycle takes a few hours to complete, but it does a nice job.

I looked around several places to replace my old dishwasher that had a bad control panel. I had never considered a Samsung dishwasher, but im glad i did. It looks great in the stainless finish. I installed it myself pretty quicker and painlessly. Unit is very quiet and it dishware is always clean. Many different mode options and i like the low rinse agent notification light. All in all it is was a great choice for me and my family.

I've had this dishwasher for a year now. It's fairly quiet and gets the job done. Minor complaints are that the heavy cycle takes two hours to finish and, regardless of the cycle, the dishes never really get dry unless we select sanitize and add a rinse agent. Otherwise, it's functional and works fine. Will likely upgrade from the base model in the next year.

The computer board needed to be replaced 12 months and 2 weeks after purchasing. We were told that this special ordered part would take 2-3 months to be delivered and the cost of the part and labor was $425.00.
Would not recommend buying a Samsung.

In terms of performance, it's a fantastic dishwasher... does a great job cleaning the dishes and runs very quiet.
However, after having had it for a couple months now, there is an awful smell coming from it even when empty. I've never washed anything strange in it or even anything that hadn't already been cleaned off any food scraps so I don't know where it could be coming from. I've checked filters and seals and can't find what it is, I've checked the hoses and the only thing that works is running a cleaning cycle with Tang loaded in the detergent basket. While helpful, it just seem absurd that it's necessary.

Save your money! Hire someone to do your dishes before you consider any Samsung dishwasher.
Brand new dishwasher, several months old. Faulty part (assy case brake) led me to have a fancy drying rack that I now use to hold my dishes after HAND WASHING them.
Over $100 for the stupid part, which is a known issue on these models, but Samsung can't figure out how to re-engineer and ultimately fix the problem.
AVOID THESE SAMSUNG DISHWASHERS. You can use your money more wisely buy scrubbing your unwashed dishes with it.

This is by far the worst dishwasher I've ever owned. We had the Samsung repair people out twice within the first year of installation. The inside smells terrible even after it has ran its cycle. Particles are dried on everything inside, and the dishes are still dripping wet after running it. I have been hand washing dishes straight out of the "heavy wash" cycle. Save your time and money, and consider a different dishwasher.

Issues with bottom drawer staying on track. The wheels do not stay on the track whenever you try to close the bottom rack. The groove on the wheels are not big enough and there is too big of a gap at the hinge and the bottom tray does not stay put. We haven't timed it yet, but the dishwasher seems to run for a long time.

We were in a pinch and needed to replace our last dishwasher immediately. We wash 2-4 full loads per day so replacement had to be done quickly. We looked at several and decided on this one, mostly because I wanted the hidden heating element and this does have that.
After using this thing many times per day, over several months, I have to say I regret buying it. It doesn't get the dishes clean, no matter how light it's loaded, nor what products are used. (We use Cascade rinse aid and detergent "pods" - usually the Platinum ones). If you don't completely pre-wash the dishes, they come out with food residue still on them. For a product that advertises it has "Hard Food Disposer – Washes Away Heavy Foods With Ease, No Need to Pre-Rinse", I have to say that's not been true with our unit. Granted, we have a well, so not the best water pressure from the tap, however the previous two dishwashers never had this problem so I find it hard to believe it's a water pressure issue.
Most of our "food residue" is from chopped fruits and vegetables, breads, or baked grain casseroles (similar to a rice pilaf)- not anything baked or caked on. Just food that was served in a bowl and the bowls are shaken out over the trash can before we wash them off by hand then load into this dishwasher. We aren't washing many pots and pans. It's mostly just the small plastic bowls we use to feed the over 100 birds we care for every day. I doubt the "hard food disposer" in this unit has ever actually seen any "hard food".
The lack of options is also a big drawback. No "Pre-Rinse", "Rinse and hold" or "Rinse" option like other dishwashers I have owned. The cycles are LONG. The "Quick" cycle takes about an hour. And speaking of cycles - the unit DOES NOT restart when you close the door. If you open the door to add a dish after it has been started, you have to manually re-start the cycle by pushing the "Start" button. If you happen to forget to re-hit that button, (and the only clue is the "wash-rinse-dry-end" lights are off) then your dirty dishes will still be there to greet you, smelling like a high school gym locker room, when you open the door expecting to see sparkling, clean dishes. And if you accidently hit the POWER instead of start? It drains all the water out from the current cycle, then starts from the beginning.
Do you want to raise or lower the top rack to accommodate tall or bulky dishes? Do it before loading the rack, as you have to pull the entire rack out and insert it between a different set of rollers to change position.
The rack design doesn't hold near as many dishes as our previous two dishwashers. They seem like they were just not very well designed. I do like the fact that the silverware basket is actually 2 small ones. Makes it easier to store when not in use.
The unit is very quiet. There is that.

Had this dishwasher for a year. It was out of warranty for a month and I started getting errors on the panel and it stopped working. I called Samsung and one of their preferred vendors had to fix it. The repair costs more than the machine is currently selling for. Doing some googling and the issue the machine is having is really common with Samsung dishwashers. Wish I would have done this research last year when I was buying the dishwasher. I will definitely not be buying anymore of their appliance and I'm currently looking for a new dishwasher......a mere year after buying this one.

Purchased this unit 2 years ago and have had issues from the beginning. Leakage on the right side corner for one so I cleaned out the food screening chopper area very time consuming and nearly had to take the whole thing apart. The leakage on the right continued and we all became accustomed to putting a towel down when we ran a load. Soap dispenser did not open all of the time. Maybe every 3rd load would be "clean" Leakage sensor inhibited its use multiple times it continuously gets set off by actual leakage from the machine. I pulled apart the door to discover a swamp of gross food particles and sludge had formed where the door should seal the tub, completely disgusting. I thought okay I will replace the door, not an option I can only replace parts of the door. Long sad story, I'm excited to replace this nightmare of a machine.

First of all, I absolutely love this design and it also has great features. My favorite quality about this product is how quiet it is. We have an open living space that is connected with the kitchen. Our couch is not that far from the dishwasher. With our previous appliance we had to wait until we went to bed to run the washer. Not now! We have no problems watching T.V. while running this new one. It is great. The only con is that sometimes our dishes still have some residue even though we use rinse aid. But, it only happens occasionally and I don't want to put the full blame on the washer itself. (It may very well be because of the dish detergent we use.)

Apparently this Dishwasher has an issue with the safety lock and shuts the dishwasher down and cannot be used until service is called. I probably only used the Dishwasher 3 times and I had to call for service. I would not recommend this dishwasher.

This Dishwasher seems to be pretty quiet. Paper work says that the black kick plate has a rubber gasket at the floor but mine doesn't. My last dishwasher had lots of insulation on the kick plate at the bottom but this one doesn't. I would think if it did it would be even more quiet.

I mean it works well but all the places you put things in don't fit or in the wrong places and it's just odd you can tell it wasn't make by a women who does dish in the us and this was a upgrade for me because my other one was recalled and the company wouldn't make it right alone with two other big things in my kitchen if I didn't need a dishwasher and got such a great deal where the store I got it from must have lost money it would have gone right back
