We bought the fridge in late July and it fit perfect for our new to us 1970s home. I really wanted the water dispenser and icemaker and willing to compromise a little space due to the counter and door layout of my kitchen. The fridge worked as it should for the first few months and I was pleased but randomly one Saturday morning the water dispenser stopped working. I called the LG customer service and we walked through a few potential fixes but they didnt work so we needed to have a technician come out to the house. Within a few days we were able to have someone out but in those days the temperature in the fridge half changed dramatically. The upper half was not cool to the touch and the fruit/veggie drawers froze our food. Not a huge loss just some fruits and veggies had to be tossed but when the technician came out he said there was a hose that busted behind one of the drawers and hes never seen anything like this. He adjusted the temperature and we are currently waiting for a part to fix the water dispenser. All of this is just to say make sure you get the protection plan if possible. I like my purchase but I do worry what is to come in a few years after use. Will I have to buy a new one after three years? I hope not.

This fridge was installed in July 2020 by September we were already having issues. Something goes haywire in the fridge and it freezes the bottom drawer while the top is barely cooled and the water/ice dispenser leaked all over our brand new hardwood floors. The repair process is an absolute nightmare as I write this review in December its still not fixed after several no-show appointments and hours on the phone with LG and the repair service they assigned. The fridge looks great but LG is a difficult company to work with I will never buy from them again. Aside from all this the only bad thing about the fridge itself is the design of the water dispenser its not intuitive and several guests have squirted water on our floor.

It all started off fine - fridge was installed but it came with a broken egg tray. We had other time constraints so we didnt report that for a few weeks. Ultimately after trying to send in the required information in the next 3-4 months and being told a couple times we never sent it or the claim didnt exist I just bought one on Amazon. Then about 13 months after we turned it on the compressor is failing. We sit here a month after the first repair person visit and ultimately we had an appliance plan that thankfully is going to result in a refund on this fridge. The fact that this fridge requires a compressor repair within a year plus the litany of negative reviews of LG fridges for the same issues in various slim line fridges leads me to believe this is a company issue. Avoid these fridges at all costs. As a result of this experience I wont buy any LG products of any kind.

I got this as a replacement to my old refrigerator. This has SO much space. I love how I have tons of drawers in the freezer and even the side doors I love also the feature where if you leave the doors open to long it dings This has helped having kids when they run into the fridge to get a snack and leave it open When its time to change the filter it comes right to my phone. So helpful

Overall I am happy with the refrigerator and how it operates. I love having a crushed ice option which wasnt a clearly advertised feature. The wifi capability makes it easy to diagnose any potential issues which I did have when the water line froze because I overloaded the freezer. A quick defrost and a reminder to keep frozen foods below the load line got me back on track. The only thing I wish was that the shelves had a little more flexibility as far as what heights to adjust them to. Other than that the door compartments make it easy to store tons of condiments gallons of milk etc. Very happy.

Came back to side by side after having french door style and hated the bottom freezer that was a dark hole. Now I can see what I have in the freezer refrig side is spacious and temp is consistent. The crushed ice maker is the best weve had so far. I highly recommend LG products. Everything in my kitchen is LG.

I bought this refrigerator 3 years ago and have had multiple issues. First while still under full warranty the entire fridge and freezer went out and I lost $500 worth of food. I got reimbursed $80. Currently the ice maker doesnt make ice. LG has sent a tech out about 7 different times and could not figure out what was wrong. They now want to try replacing the door. At my expense. I have already paid to have multiple different parts replaced and could have bought a new refrigerator at this point.

We first started having trouble with the ice maker not making ice but luckily that was within the first year and was covered under the warranty. Now the compressor had died in the unit and its just over ONE YEAR old In conversations with the service tech they tell me that LG compressors are notorious for having a short life. I also have a LG washer that always stops due to unbalance load. We have the supports replaced and it works good again for a few months until the supports again wear out and back to having unbalance load. I sure seems that LG appliances are not worth the time or $.

I was drawn to this because it was a counter depth unit. I like the way it fits in my kitchen and its overall appearance...However.....we had this for a year and a half and came home yesterday to thawed out freezer and warm fridge. Calling now to get it fixed...not looking forward to this process. Overall the appliance is small and the lack of meat and cheese drawers is annoying. The freezer side is smaller than I had originally thought and you do have to get use to the water coming out at you from the water dispenser but it doesnt take long: The fridge breaking is on LG.The things i dont care for regarding the fridge are on me. Would NOT recommend this one:

Got this about 3 weeks ago and overall so far happy with the refrigerator. I read some on line reviews where people complained about lack of adjustability of shelves - not sure why those comments were made my shelves are all adjustable other then the door shelves? The layout is pretty good except there is no meat drawer - would be nice to have a lower profile area specific to meat seafood chicken etc. Partly because I dont want potential overspill of that onto ANYTHING else and partly because it is mostly low profile packages so it kind of wastes space to use up a taller shelf. Another complaint - it is hard to keep clean - the sales person said LGs finish didnt show any fingerprints or anything - but that is NOT true. And it is hard to clean - I am not sure what to use everything leaves a bit of a scuff look. So - that is a complaint for sure Then the water dispenser is kind of a weird set up and it scratches easily. And the water hose vibrates - Im constantly having to adjust the refrig for that annoying sound. I wish there was a way to connect the hose somewhere so that wasnt an issue - tape it to the back of the refrig or staple it to the wall or ? I dont know there has to be a way Overall it is a decent smaller capacity refrigerator - I looked at a few options and this was my favorite at least in my price range - I couldnt do $5k or more for some of the high end options. It looks and feels much nicer then the GE Whirlpool and a few of the other brands in the same general price range. Id give it 4.5 stars but that isnt an option. It isnt quite a 5 star product for the issues noted above.

Overly Complicated Dont you have enough devices in your life that require reboots? Why add a refrigerator to that list? I bought this refrigerator from Home Depot about 1.5 years ago and it has been nothing but trouble. In fact Im now throwing it out It actually requires frequent reboots The refrigerator compartment stops cooling: requires a reboot The freezer ices up: requires a reboot Error codes appear on the panel display: requires a reboot Let that sink in for a minute: this refrigerator actually gives you error codes see pic and needs to be rebooted And LG Warranty support is completely useless You can rarely get them to respond and if they do they just tell you to power cycle it a.k.a reboot Im now out over $1600 dont make the same mistake

Everything about this fridge has been wonderful until today 3 weeks after the purchase. The fridge is still working great but the ice maker started slowing down a lot. The bucket has been full everyday even with a family of six using it. This morning we woke up and the ice maker was empty. When I got home from work the bucket still doesnt hae b=much in it.

We have had this fridge just over 2 months. At 3 weeks the water on the door decided not to dispense. But a couple days later it worked fine not sure exactly what happened. PROs: LED lighting is great. Ice Maker is on the door so it saves space in the freezer. Loads of room available on the Fridge door shelves. Digital temperature setting so you know exactly what the setting is. Door alarm if left open. Smart Thinq app to check temps and change settings. CONs: No Meat drawer or designated area for deli foods. Fridge shelves are not tall enough for basic things like Milk or 2 liter soda bottles. Water dispenser shoots a stream of water out away from the fridge not in line with the ice dispenser. Freezer capacity is smaller than a 2-person household requires. No way to dim or turn off the light on the Door panel.

Weve had it about a month now. It has a lot of space for a side by side in both the refidgerator and the freezer. The in door ice maker opens space in the freezer side. Is very quite. Only makes noise when the ice drops into the holder. Which lets us know its working. A slight sound when water dispensor stops. Both sides refer and Freezer are holding the temperatures very well.

Coming up on a year with this fridge. Very disappointed in the noise level - it runs constantly and is loud and makes rattle/vibration noises that can be heard in the next room. The internal temp is also very inaccurate and varies greatly. We need to keep some medicine refrigerated at a specific temp and this fridge cant handle even that. Our 20 yr old model it replaced did a better job. Not what wed hoped for.

Bought the refrdgerator from Home Depot for a new house. Unit was turned on in January and within 3 hours water would freeze. The refrigerator section does not keep proper temperature and is always colder than the setting. Had 4 service calls so far and unit still not working. Still havent been able to put any food in.

This is our second new LG fridge. The first one is still in use after five years with no problems. The second new fridge is for our guest house. The price was right due to he Memorial Day sale. The fridge was shipped out on time but the Home Depot truck broke down and we had to pick it up at our local store and haul it home in our trailer. The fridge was packed extremely well and was very easy to move and unpack. My wife and I easily unloaded the fridge with an appliance dolly and moved it to the guest house. The instructions for set up and starting the fridge were very clear. The water and ice systems/features are the best. Great job LG My only surprise was that LG appliances are made in Mexico for the US market.

I bought this a nearly three years ago and the compressor is already dead. After lengthy discussion with a few professional techs they informed me about the fact the compressor is prone to failure and they wouldnt consider repairing it since they cant guarantee it will work for any worthwhile period of time afterwards. Theres an issue with valve failure in these compressors and if LG wont cover the repairs its much smarter just to get a new appliance. Also YouTube has many videos showing teardowns of these compressors since they fail so frequently.

This is a quite efficient Fridge. I would buy it again. Great Features. The water thru the Door is a bit different from others. However a lot of water bottles being used now I see exactly why they evolved it as they have. Very Handy for refilling Water Bottles to take to work etc. Coupled with all that the 10 year Compressor Warranty really verifies LG has bullet proofed it. My Last Fridge lasted 20 Years which was Great However the Compressor in that one failed in 18 months and was replaced under warranty. So if LG is offering a 10 Warranty on theirs I am all in

This refrigerator is fine. Ice cubes are a little small and the shelf adjustment options on the refrigerator as opposed to the freezer side seem limited and odd but the operation is quiet and everything works.
