I have several LG products fridge washer dryer Microwave. I purchased this product Feb 2016. Within the 1st few months had to have repaired. Living in Hawaii took awhile to find someone to work on LG. There was a small issue after they made the repairs but never came back and nothing big just one number missing. Now almost 2 years old and out again. Called and was told cost more then it was worth. Would like to find an product that last longer then a few years. When you reired from the military disabled and on a budget cant afford to replace my applainces every few years. When working great but now just taking up space till I can afford another one.

Bought this model in 2014. It has failed 5 times since the 1 year warranty ended. Two of the three door-open sensor switches have failed multiple times. And the control board failed once. The only reason that we havent replaced it is because my husband has been able to make these repairs.

First thing was that this microwave did not work right out of the box. There was no sign of life once it was installed and plugged in. Repairman came out and replaced a part.and it has been fine since then. I thought I looked for all the features I used on my old oven but I guess I missed a few or made some poor assumptions. I thought the timer was a countdown timer - but this timer turns the microwave on for a specified time and is not a countdown timer. There is no countdown timer:-. Im used to having the oven AND the microwave timers to keep track of things. I know I can use another timer but thats not as convenient and it also means something else on my kitchen counter.. My old microwave actually had a sensor cook - it would determine the amount of frozen vegetables or the volume of a casserole to be reheated. This microwave seems to use a predetermined time to cook frozen veggies or reheat casseroles. resulting in overheated casseroles and mushy veggies. For the price Ill make do but I sure wish Id asked more questions and not made assumptions. Id have willingly paid more for those features.
