Clean, efficient design but some design issues.

Not bad for a gas stove. The wrought iron burner grills on top don't work very well all the time. If you are using a small pot, to warm up milk or a small expresso pot, it can and has tipped over because the pot is smaller than the openings. I also wish that a seperate grill/shelf had been included for the broiler, instead of having to use one from the oven area above. Otherwise as gas stoves are concerned, it's pretty good.

...the oven door is two-part, with a hinged front made of glass. That front used to stick to the back part of the door, but now it doesn't ... and Whirlpool's customer-service line was no help whatsoever. Is there a magnet that needs replaced? Who knows ... because Whirlpool says a serviceworker has to out and we'd have to pay for a service call just for a flapping door! That's not worth the couple of hundred dollars a service call I'm sure would be. Attached are photos of the door flapping open and closed when I push my hand against it.

We bought this late in February and received it just a week ago. So wonderful after a 16-year-old range where the oven didn't work right anymore. Easy to learn to use with the directions, and it's great having items cook in the required time. Love the continuous grates across the stovetop, too--easy to move from burner to burner if necessary or just to set a big pan on after it comes out of the oven. (We bought the matching refrigerator back in November and are enjoying that, also!)

GREAT STOVE AND BEAUTIFUL!

REALLY ENJOYING MY NEW WHIRLPOOL STOVE. IT IS AN APPEALING LOOKING APPLIANCE AND THOUGH IT SEEMS TO HEAT HOTTER THAN I HAVE EVER HAD A STOVE HEAT IT BAKES AND COOKS VERY EVENLY AND THINGS TURN OUT EXCEPTIONALLY WELL EXCEPT THAT I HAVE TO USE A SLIGHTLY LOWER SETTING THAN IN THE PAST.

Range burners heat up instantly .Just don't care for the little whiff of gas smell upon ignition.Foods prepared on the burners were well cooked.The oven bakes well but the handle on the oven door gets very hot while it is being used. Also the sides are very warm.Be aware of your person and the hot areas on the range/oven.The oven needs to be heated up at least three times (total of 6 hours) before really baking because it has to burn off new fumes which is mentioned in the literature.Timer works well.
