Stopped working after 1 month light use

After 1 month of occasional use, it started making noises and stopped working. Also the app only works in the ac is turned on. I have a hot city apartment and it's winter. I'd like to leave it off more often. But for it to randomly stop working when only fan was on makes it seem like junk purchase.

AC changes settings on it's own to Fan, there is no setting to turn this off, also if you bring it to a lower temperature of 67 or under it freezes over.

Power cycle problems after 4 months

It's amazingly easy to use. Even for an old dinosaur such as myself. Getting it connected to my WiFi was a breeze and I love being able to control it from anywhere. Mississippi is notorious In the spring and fall for having days of getting up and needing some heat to later on in the day needing air. So this is a blessing! Love the ease of cleaning the filter and the remote is slim as a credit card. I own an 8,000 BTU & a 12,000 BTU

Due to the distance (50 paces) from the router to the AC, a WiFi extender is required.The App only works some of the time, and since it's located in the shop, being able to turn it on prior to entering the shop was a very desirable feature here in Southeast Texas.

Our ac worked well for several months then started short cycling and flashing error code 88. After hours on hold and much self investigation, it seems as this is a common and very known problem. We are using a different ac altogether, and wishing we read the reviews before our purchase.

Easy to connect to wifi, operates very well, good clean product design. I named my 2.4g & 5g wireless networks different names to ensure the smart home product is communicating with the right network. Out of home control has work perfectly. There a little lag time sometimes, but so far haven't run in to any issues other than waiting a few seconds for a command to execute. It's really cool to have so much control over your AC!

Best Air Conditioner I ever purchased

This AC is by far one of the best that I ever purchased! It is lighter than I expected, the installation instructions are very forward, and it is so light that my window can be able to hold on to it without a piece a plank or something! One of the best features I love about this AC is that it can be authorized by the internet! I sometimes I lose the controller, and if I forget to turn off the AC while I was out, the GE app will be able to tell me whether is on or off! I can just simply press the on or off button whenever I want to! The other reason I love the Wi-Fi access is that it also detects the filter when it needs to be clean, and that is very advanced to me because right when I know the filter needs maintenance, I can simply turn it off on my phone! Lastly, what I am really focused on the product is it's performance. This AC makes my large living room very cold! It does the job excellent!
