Susie Miller & LouCrecie Garlanger, two long time employees of Gerhard’s Appliances set a record for this week by raising over $5,000 for the Susan G. Komen Race For the Cure. This 3 day walk began in Willow Grove and takes the pink participants through the entire city of Philadelphia on foot, ending at the Navy Yard in Philadelphia. This is not an easy walk by any means. Participants must tough out the elements for three long days as well as sleep on the streets when a break is needed. Their efforts are not overlooked ,They are raising money to support breast cancer research and aid for the families affected by this disease.
Susie and Lou used some good old fashion networking, family fun bingo nights, and corporate sponsorship to not only meet, but exceed their fundraising goal.
